Generally speaking curators are *not* professionals. The majority are just regular people (non-musicians) who have a passion for listening to and sharing new music with their audience. In most cases they also have a day job on the side.
As a result, the feedback you receive when submitting your song might sometimes leave you scratching your head. In those cases it's sometimes helpful to remember the above :)
