Lock a song to a specific position on your Spotify playlist so it stays put, even as other songs come and go. Useful for anchoring a playlist's opening song, a featured track, or anything you want to keep in a fixed slot.
How to lock a track
On your playlist's Tracks view in SubmitHub, every row has a lock icon.
Locked tracks get highlighted in purple so you can spot them at a glance.
How enforcement works
Once a track is locked, SubmitHub keeps it at its position automatically:
The system also handles gaps intelligently. If locked tracks would collide (two songs trying to be at position 3), we process them in order and shift the rest accordingly.
Limits
If a track keeps slipping
The most common cause is editing the playlist directly in the Spotify app rather than through SubmitHub. That's fine, we'll re-enforce on the next sync pass. If something stays out of place even after that, reach out at our support ticket page and we'll have a look.
