How do I gift credits to someone?
Any SubmitHub user can gift premium credits to anyone by email, whether or not the recipient already has a SubmitHub account.
How to send a gift
- Head to submithub.com/gifts and hit "Create a gift" (there's also a "Send a gift" button on your account page).
- Enter the recipient's email, the number of credits, and an optional personal message.
- If you don't have enough premium credits in your balance, the flow lets you buy the shortfall right there before sending.
- Send. The credits come out of your balance and are held against a voucher.
What the recipient gets
We email them a voucher code with a claim link. If they're already a SubmitHub user, they'll also see an in-app banner prompting them to claim. Claimed credits land straight in their premium balance. See the "Claiming a gift voucher" article for the recipient's side.
Revoking and expiry
- Unclaimed gifts expire after 90 days, and the credits return to your balance automatically.
- You can revoke an unclaimed gift any time from your credits tab, which refunds the credits to you immediately. Once a gift has been claimed, it can't be revoked.
Good to know
- You can't gift credits to your own registered email addresses.
- Your credits tab keeps a "Gifts sent" history showing each gift's recipient, amount, and status (unclaimed, claimed, expired, or revoked).
Other ways credits move between accounts
This is the general-purpose gifting flow. Two related features: curators earn separate monthly gift credits to pass to artists (see "Sending gifts to artists"), and account teams can transfer credits between members (see "Teams on your account").
