Canceling a Hot or Not request and getting a refund

Yes, you can stop a Hot or Not request any time and we'll refund whatever you haven't used. No support ticket needed.

How to cancel

1. Head to your tracks on Hot or Not
2. Click into the song you want to cancel
3. Each active request has a small trash icon next to its details. Click the one for the request you want to stop.
4. Confirm in the modal. Your refund hits your balance instantly.

How the refund works

Each request type (standard, premium, genre validation) has its own trash icon and refunds separately. So if you've got more than one running on the same song, you can stop just one and let the others keep going.

• Premium request: cancels the unused ratings and refunds the corresponding unspent premium credits to your balance.
• Standard request (earned by rating others): cancels the remaining unfilled ratings. The ratings you've already received stay.
• Genre Validation request: cancels the remaining votes and the unspent votes go back to your balance.

What doesn't refund

Ratings (or genre votes) that have already been delivered are spent and won't come back. You're only refunding the portion that hadn't been used yet.

If the refund amount looks wrong

Open a support ticket and we'll take a look. The math is automatic, but if something feels off we'd rather check than leave you guessing.
