Can I use my own Meta pixel?

Depends on which side you're on. The short answers:

  • SubmitHub Ads (managed): no. We use our own pool of Meta pixels and pick the right one automatically based on your ad's genres.
  • Running your own Meta ads: yes, and you should (here's a full guide on the ad campaign with SubmitHub Links setup). Add your Pixel ID to your SubmitHub Link, and events get tracked through to Ads Manager.

Running your own? Here's the setup

Add your Pixel ID (and optionally a Conversions API access token) to your SubmitHub Link. Meta will track events through your pixel so you can optimize for conversions in Ads Manager. See the "Running your own Meta ads" section under SubmitHub Links for the full walkthrough.

Why we manage the pixel for SubmitHub Ads

Our pixels have been running music ads for years, so they've built up a big pool of optimization data that Meta can draw on. A fresh pixel would have to learn from scratch, which usually means worse early performance and higher cost per result.

On top of that, we fire pixel events a specific way (both browser-side through Meta's pixel and server-side through the Conversions API, with a shared event ID so they deduplicate) that depends on us having admin access to the pixel. Customer-provided pixels would miss out on that setup.
