What do the industry and occupation questions mean during cashout?

The list of industries and occupations during cashout setup comes from Wise (formerly TransferWise), our payout partner. Wise asks these questions for regulatory and anti-money-laundering compliance. We don't control the options or wording, and the choice doesn't affect SubmitHub at all.

What to pick

Choose the option that best describes the work you do day-to-day, not just the SubmitHub side. If nothing fits perfectly:

• If you're a curator or content creator, "Arts, entertainment & recreation" or similar is usually the closest fit
• If you're self-employed, "Self-employed" or your primary occupation works
• If you're a student or in something not listed, just pick the nearest match

It's an internal classification on Wise's side. As long as it's not blatantly wrong, your transfer will go through fine.

Why so many questions overall?

Wise has to comply with international money-transfer regulations, so they ask for things like address, occupation, and source of funds. Some questions only show up depending on your country and the destination currency. None of these affect what we send you, just how Wise processes the transfer on the receiving end.
