How do I earn a free premium credit?

Leave feedback or genre validations on songs to earn premium credits. The exact rate depends on whether you're a standard reviewer or a Verified Reviewer.

Standard reviewers

• Feedback ratings: 5+ words to count (10+ on premium-requested songs)
• Genre Validation ratings: always count (no words required)
• 1 premium credit per 20 completed ratings
• Premium-requested songs count double. When the artist paid premium credits to request ratings, your rating counts as 2 toward your earnings (and toward the daily cap). The UI flags these with "Earn 2x for premium requests" and asks for 10+ words plus 60+ seconds of listening.

Verified Reviewers

• Feedback ratings: 10+ words to count
• Genre Validation ratings: always count
• 1 premium credit per 10 completed ratings (2x the standard rate)
• The premium-request 2x bonus above doesn't stack: VRs already earn at the higher rate, so every rating counts as 1 toward earnings.

Daily cap

• Standard reviewers: up to 5 premium credits per day
• Verified Reviewers: up to 10 premium credits per day

A few details worth knowing:

• The cap is shared across your linked accounts. If you've got two SubmitHub accounts we've linked together, they draw from the same daily pool.
• It resets at UTC midnight, not your local midnight. The same global day boundary applies to everyone. When you hit the cap, we tell you how many hours remain until it resets.
• Reviewing is never blocked. You can keep leaving feedback all day. Past the cap, your ratings still count toward your earned-rating tally; they just stop generating premium credits until the next UTC day.
• The Premium credits today widget on the Hot or Not page tracks your current count so you can see where you are.
