Turning off auto top-up

By default the "Keep my ad running" option is on, so once your ad's budget runs low we renew it to keep the campaign going (Meta ads work best run long-term). We remind you before each renewal, but if you'd rather your ad simply stop at the original budget, here's how to turn it off.

At setup

When you create the ad (or set up a package), uncheck the "Keep my ad running" option. That's the simplest way to make sure the ad stops at your original budget.

After it's launched

Once the ad exists, this setting is called "Automatic top up" rather than "Keep my ad running." To change it:

  1. Open the ad, either from your package page or from its Link in your Links dashboard.
  2. Go to the Ads tab and open the Status section.
  3. You'll see a box with your credits remaining and a toggle reading "Automatic top up enabled." Switch it off so it reads "Automatic top up disabled."

Once it's off, the ad keeps running on its current budget and stops on its own when those credits are used up. We won't deduct any more.

I already got charged. Can I get a refund?

Reach out at our support ticket page and we'll look into it. If the renewal happened recently and you didn't intend it, we can usually reverse the charge.
