How do I sign up as a curator or influencer?

Head to submithub.com/apply to apply. Pick your outlet type, connect the relevant account so we can pull your stats, and fill out the form.

What you need to qualify

We keep the bar high so artists reach real, engaged outlets. Each type has a minimum:

Spotify playlister

  • At least one public playlist with 1,000+ followers (make sure it shows under your public playlists)
  • That playlist averaging roughly 50 listeners per song per month
  • At least one playlist that's actively growing
  • A genuine playlist, not the same artist or two stacked across the top spots

We also tend to favor niche, genre-focused playlists over broad catch-all ones. It's a preference rather than a hard requirement, but a clear genre focus helps.

YouTube channel

  • At least 10,000 subscribers

Influencer (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)

  • A real following on at least one platform: at least 1,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube and consistently 1,000+ views on the majority of your videos. The bar is lower in some major markets.
  • Your profiles must be set to public

Do I need Spotify for Artists? (playlisters)

No. You don't need a Spotify for Artists account, and you don't need to be an artist.

Where it helps: the "listeners per song" check runs on our own estimates, which aren't always perfect. If you have access to Spotify for Artists data and your real numbers clear the bar, sharing that data lets us verify it. See the Sharing data from Spotify for Artists article. If you don't have S4A access, no problem, your playlist just needs to hit the numbers based on our own internal measures.

If your application is declined

You're welcome to apply again later once your numbers have grown. We generally don't share the specifics behind a declined application.
