Can I submit to record labels?

No, you can't submit to record labels on SubmitHub. We sunset that feature at the end of March 2023 after about 7 years of running it.

Why we stopped

• Declining interest: by 2023, label submissions were less than 1% of SubmitHub's total volume and trending downward.
• Complaint rates: label submissions generated roughly 16x more complaints per submission than curator submissions. Labels are harder to hold accountable for post-approval follow-through than curators are for adding a song to a playlist.
• Industry shift: most high-quality labels aren't actively hunting for cold submissions. Many smaller "labels" that did submit were closer to service providers (art, distribution, light marketing) than traditional labels.
