7 years of SubmitHub

Today, SubmitHub turns 7 🎉 🥳 🍻 

We've evolved a lot over the years, but rather than diving into all the product features, perhaps it'd be more interesting to share a few little-known bits of trivia.

Submissions

• The first submission was sent on November 10th, 2015 at 9:37pm GMT
• 5,163 submissions were sent in the first month
• This is before there was any sort of "premium" credit involved - it was all a quick & free yes/no
• Premium credits were introduced in ~February of 2016
• 658,583 submissions were sent in the first year (this one actually surprises me!)
• There have been 3,503,790 songs approved & shared since 2015
• 47,470 of these were shared in the first year

Curators & Influencers

• Applications approved:
• Curators: 2,566 out of 14,018 (18.3%)
• Influencers: 2,798 out of 11,880 (23.6%)
• Record labels: 815 out of 4,023 (20.3%)
• Of the 368 curators who joined in the first year, 72 of them are still active today

Users

• In the first month, 1,798 user accounts were created
• 75 of those are still active, having logged in within the last 30 days
• By the end of the first year there were 43,316 registered users
• 1,049 of those users have logged in within the last 30 days
• Today there are 819,487 registered users
• I reckon ~5% of these are "duplicates" where a unique individual has created more than one account
• Top 5 countries that users visit from:
• United States (37.5%)
• United Kingdom (9.6%)
• Germany (5.6%)
• Canada (4.5%)
• Italy (3.1%)
• In the last week, 20,898 unique users have visited the website 354,499 times
• That works out to 17 visits per user per week, or ~2.5 visits per day
• I'm pretty sure there are some folks visiting 50+ times a day 😆
