[Changelog] February 13, 2026

Hooray, the kids are finally back to school, and I'm back at work. I had family visiting until last week, which means that even though I was getting things done, I wasn't ever able to sit down and properly focus on things.

Here's a snapshot of what I've been up to...

AI Music

  • The curators feed can be filtered based on AI preference
  • Playlists now also reveal an approximate percentage of AI songs
  • For playlist owners, they are able to see specifically which songs have been detected as AI
  • The AI detector itself has had some tweaks (mostly on the temporal side) and I ran new training based on additional samples
  • Changed the label "Processed AI" to "Hybrid (AI+Human)"
  • For those curators who do feature AI, we now split out their AI-specific approval %

Ads

  • Users can now adjust the age range they're targeting
  • A bunch of work to be ready for Meta's "Andromeda" interests targeting update
  • When targeting premium regions, we encourage a minimum of 10 credits per day (previously 5)

Payments

  • Support for Google Pay and Apple
  • Redid the UI and signup flow

Feedback

  • Voice-to-text upgrades:
    • Toggle between "browser" (uses your local browser's built-in voice-to-text) and "cloud" (uses ChatGPT's voice-to-text API)
    • Translate to language of your choice
  • Abuse:
    • Improved bot / script detection for submissions and Hot or Not (unfortunately I can't divulge my techniques 😉)
    • Crackdown on duplicate / similar feedback

Marketplace

  • Specialists can now leave notes for their whole team
  • Improved the "save draft" feature - it was occasionally forgetting which specialists had been selected

Miscellaneous

  • GIF counter in the #curators chat (by popular demand)
  • When viewing the list of curators I've made improvements to the way each curator's playlists are surfaced and sorted
  • Universal page-specific messaging system for admin alerts / messages
  • Playlist applications have become a bit more stringent - with checks for consistent growth and listeners before you can actually submit an application
  • SoundCloud deprecated their MP3 API endpoint and replaced it with HLS AAC - which means higher quality audio, but required a bit of reconfiguration
  • Users can translate lyrics
  • Hot or Not exports now include genres

What's next?

I've got a fairly big change up my sleeves that involves reducing the "friction" for new users who want to promote their music. This includes quicker uploads and one-click promotion âš¡. That should all be ready by end of February!
