If you've ever sent your song to 20, 30 or even 100 curators, you've no doubt seen how quickly your inbox becomes flooded by individual emails for each action taken on that submission. Which is quite ironic given that the whole point of SubmitHub was to move submissions *away* from the email inbox 😅
Starting today, we're experimenting with a new "digest" format that summarizes decisions into one easy, daily activity report. You can then do a deep-dive into the feedback and results by following the links in the email.
Behind the scenes what's happening is that we're keeping track of the following "actions":
24 hours after the first event has been stored, I run a little script that collects all your recent notifications within that window and bundles it up into a nice email. This approach means you a) won't get more than 1 digest email every 24 hours; b) won't get any digest emails if nothing has happened at all.
I'm hoping that this results in cleaner inboxes for all 💜
