Highlighting Great Music With SubmitHub Gifts

At its core, SubmitHub is about music discovery. We want to help curators share the music they're excited about.

As part of our 10-year anniversary, we're rolling out a new feature called SubmitHub Gifts.

For the next year, every active curator will receive up to 10 free credits each month to support an artist of their choice.

How it works

For every 10 credits earned through curating, we'll add one bonus credit to their gift pile.

If a curator earns 50 credits in a month, they’ll get 5 to give away
Earn 100 or more, and they’ll receive the full 10 out of 10
The "Gifts" section of your "Earned" tab will show your progress throughout the month (eg, 1/10 or 2/10)

At the start of the following month, they'll be able to choose a recipient.

To get the ball rolling, all curators have been given a full 10/10 credits for October, to be given away starting November 1st.

Anyone! Ideally an artist you're excited about sharing with the world.

Yes, you can send it to yourself. But that sort of defeats the whole idea of being a "curator." We'll leave that to your judgment :)

When generating your gift, we'll give you an option to input an email address or search through your existing approvals
The recipient will receive an email with the curator CCed
Vouchers can be claimed from the link in the email

A couple things for the immediate future:

Notifications so that curators don't forget they've got Gifts to share
I've had a few people ask if they can buy credits as a present (eg for Xmas or a birthday), and SubmitHub Gifts seem like a good way to accomplish that. So, I'll code a way for anyone to buy & deliver a gift.
I'd like to be able to include information in the submissions feed (for curators) so that they can see if a curator is "backing" any of the artists they receive songs from
