SubmitHub Plus

I've low key launched a new feature called SubmitHub Plus. The idea behind it is pretty simple: I've built a lot of free tools on SubmitHub, and some folks are using these heavily, at a scale I can't continue to easily support for free. SubmitHub Plus lets power users get more out of those tools. If you're not a power user, you still have access to everything for free!

What you get with SubmitHub Plus

  • AI Song Checker: 100 checks a day instead of 10
  • What's My Genre: 100 checks a day instead of 10
  • Bot Checker: 100 checks a day instead of 10, and email alerts when an artist you're watching lands on a playlist we flag
  • Popularity Checker: 100 checks a day instead of 10, and email alerts when a track or artist's popularity score changes

How the alerts work

There's a checkbox on the results page and a bell icon next to anything in your History. You can watch up to 100 tracks or artists in each tool, and everything that changed arrives in one email a day.

  • Popularity Checker: you choose when to trigger the email alert (eg, change by 1 or 2 or 3)
  • Bot Checker: we keep an eye on the artist's "Discovered On" section on Spotify and let you know when a new playlist shows up that we flag as Not safe (we believe it uses bots or other artificial streams) or Payola (the curator charges money for placement). Payola doesn't necessarily mean fake streams, but paying for playlist placement does go against Spotify's terms.

What it costs

A 30-day pass is 10 credits, paid once, no subscription. If you'd rather not think about it, auto-renew is 8 credits a month (20% off), and we'll email you 3 days before each renewal. You can turn auto-renew off any time from the SubmitHub Plus page.

What stays free

  • With a free account, you still get 10 checks a day on every one of these tools
  • The Playlist Checker stays unlimited
  • Curators already get unlimited use of all of these tools, alerts included, so there's no need for Plus

What's next

I'm still working on a few ideas, but two features I expect to add to SubmitHub Plus are:

  • Playlist syncing: keep your Spotify playlists mirrored on Apple Music and YouTube automatically. Right now that's only available to curators.
  • Distribution: more of a next-year project, but we might be delving into that world :)
