Updated Curator Price Model

Earlier today we announced a few rule changes to premium credits. These include an increase in minimum listen time from 20 seconds to 60 seconds and an increase in minimum words of feedback from 10 to 20. Additionally, curators will have 72 hours to respond to submissions instead of 48.

We realize this is a big change for curators, and while it may be difficult at first, we hope it makes everyone's experience better in the long run.

In light of these changes, we've taken time to revisit the pricing structure on SubmitHub.

Simplified Price Requirements

Going forward, we've made it easier for curators to take control of their own price. Additionally, we're rolling out a new 4-credit tier, providing an optional choice for our most-engaged curators.

Many of the metrics seen below were already considered when reviewing price increase requests. One notable change is that we'll now be requiring that higher-priced curators maintain a consistent average listening time of 90 seconds.

Curators will be able to find this new section in the "EARNINGS" tab of their profile.

How it works

Once you reach the requirements of a given price tier, you will be able to enable that price on your own. If you're comfortable with a lower price, you're welcome to stay there. We will not automatically increase anyone's price without their explicit instruction.

For those of you looking for ways to increase your scores, click the purple question marks next to each metric.

In the event that your metrics drop below the requirements of your current price you will have 30 days to get them back up. If you're unable to there's the possibility that your price will be reduced. Any requirement-based reductions will be manually reviewed by the admin team before being implemented.

Simplified refunds

Another new feature we're adding is a quick-access refund button.

Using this button will not impact a curator's statistics, and should come in handy for cases where the artist has tagged the wrong genre, or a curator feels like they're unable to fulfill the requirements properly.

Consistency

Part of this change boils down to aligning prices with what we show artists when they're deciding who to contact. These metrics play an important part in their decision process (read our strategy guide), and so we want to make sure they correspond appropriately with each curator's price.
